I love it, I'm curious what kind of architecture you could come up with.

Very nice! Do you do these up in color ever?

Reminds me a little bit of viking art.Well, I guess lots of ancient cultures' art; all that patterning gets abstract. I really like it. I was looking at a book of viking designs the other day and was struck by how weird it is that abstraction in general was a "new" concept maybe 80 to a hundred years ago in fine art, meanwhile the norsemen were doing it in an ornamental context over ten centuries ago...

Glad you like my slugs.

Aeron- My architecture tends to look like its about to turn into
monsters. I don't draw many buildings because the I like lots of empty space, but I should branch out more.

Zeke- Sometimes I color them on the computer, but it tends to make all the little parts blend together in a way I don't like. That might just be from my own lack of experience with color though.

Luke-I think your right on about abstraction. When I look at early 20th century abstract stuff, it just looks like ancient ornamentation laid on top of the ideas of European art in a way that kills its own inspiration. That's why I like to use cartoon characters in my drawings as well, because the same kind of little iconic figures have been floating around for ages.
